Fred Durst

He got caught in a trap. How I didn't get this in focus I don't know. I didn't take multiple shots and there were somethings that I hadn't set up on the camera the X100VI that I got for an incredible deal Bi'Ithnillah. But this is about Fred. ..Fred had been terrorizing the school for a minute. He would come into the classrooms late at night and look for food. He was a baby and very hungry. We couldn't catch him until this unfortunate incident. He got caught in a glue trap. Several animals have been caught around the masjid but he lucked out as he was too large to suffocate in the glue like other animals. So he was alive and all of the kids were worried about him and demanded that he was let go...So I promised to take him to Lindsay Wildlife Museum. I was on my bike and he fit in the back storage unit so off we went. I just made it before they closed otherwise I was going to have to take him home and try again the next day...When I got to Lindsay the intake scolded me about using glue traps as the animals caught in them typically don't die they only languish in the glue and eventually starve or die from dehydration and she basically without saying exactly that advocated for more violent immediate methods of termination. She didn't elaborate as to the optimum way of pest elimination and I didn't ask...We waited a week and I called Lindsay back to find out the status of Fred and to a happy ending he was released to the wild to live his life as a fresh possum on the set. Hopefully far from humans and glue traps or more effective and violent forms of little animal elimination.
